Location： Shanghai， China

Would you like to build and lead a smart， highly motivated team to solve technical challenges for Veeva‘s first product in China？ The Software Engineer will lead the technical design， architect， and implementation of features for products at Veeva China. Veeva Systems provides an innovativeSaaSbased solution for the Pharmaceutical and Biotech industry. This is a management as well as hands-on position for application development in Linux based J2EE infrastructure. This position requires a strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced and fluid entrepreneurial environment. An ideal candidate for this role is a self starter， loves technical challenges and has prior experience working on a variety of engineering projects in a fast paced environment with a passion for customer success.

Responsibilities：

o Responsible for all aspects of software cycle： design， implementation， installation， tuning， and testing

o Responsible for designing system architecture， processes， and communications

o Accountable for delivery of products within schedules and with quality

o Responsible for issue logging， tracking， analysis， reporting and management

o Responsible for ongoing product maintenance

o Build， mentor， and manage a high caliber engineering team

o Work closely with other internal teams to ensure customers’ satisfaction with the products

Skills：

o At least 6 years of software development experience with increasing responsibility on multiple platforms

o Expert in OO design and implementation using Java， PHP or C++ on Linux infrastructure

o Experience in highly scaling， multi-threaded software design

o Prior experience in developing applications on large relational database

o Experience in development of Web based applications

o Prior experience in configuring applications to perform in a clustered environment

o Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with can-do attitude

o Capable of technical deep-dives into code.

o Knowledge of SaaS and/orCRMapplications is highly desirable.

o Knowledge of Salesforce.com a plus.

o People management experience is a plus

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English

o BS/MS in engineering/science （Computer Science preferred） from top universities
